In addition to food assistance, the Food Bank Network offers other support programs to help individuals and families through difficult times. Visit or call the Bridgewater warehouse to see if we can provide assistance or help you locate other providers who can help your specific situation.
Some examples of the kind of assistance we provide are:
For in-school distribution, we provide children enrolled in the National School Lunch Program with additional meals and snacks to take home for the weekend. This program continues throughout the summer where distribution is available.
We coordinate with the United Way “Stuff the Bus” program each August and September to provide school supplies for qualifying students. Additionally, we supplement schools where supplies run low.
We work with the county’s annual Adopt-A-Family Program to provide bounteous holiday meals to families in need. By combining the program’s cash donations with our own stock and wholesale buying power, we are able to give folks a truly memorable Thanksgiving meal.
Our main warehouse always has signs and take-home flyers, often in both English and Spanish, with current information about various aid programs, job opportunities and other subjects. We can also offer advice and contact information to connect you to support services for your specific needs.
