Aid for Friends
The Food Bank Network is aware of the needs within our community of elderly shut-ins. For these folks, our Aid for Friends program was originated. Church groups and individuals prepare frozen meals at home, which are then delivered by volunteers on weekends to those who would not otherwise have a hot, nourishing meal.
A new program where individuals without prescriptive medication insurance may qualify (agency referral needed) to receive emergency assistance until other assistance can be provided.
Emergency Fund
On occasion, we are asked to network with other Social Service agencies to assist with helping families in preventing eviction and utility shutoff notices.
Back to School
We coordinate with the United Way "Stuff the Bus" program each August and September to provide school supplies for qualifying high school students. Additionally, we supplement schools where supplies run low.
Personal Products
Basic hygiene products are supplied through our Warehouse, Food Pantries, and the Working Wardrobe program to individuals needing assistance.
